PCS currently offers half-day and full-day kindergarten through 8th grade. PCS is a private school which provides a nurturing environment, offers small classes and emphasizes development of the Christian character. PCS is centrally located off Route 60 in Williamsburg, near US Interstate 64.

The purpose of Providence Classical School is to provide a classical, Christ-centered education equipping students with a thorough biblical world and life view that captures their affections and enables them to discern, articulate, and live truth.

The Critical Thinking Approach

The classical method was born in ancient Greece and Rome, was used throughout the Western world by the 16th century, and remained the norm until at least 1850. The reason for its widespread use? It works.

Classical education follows a three-part pattern known as the Trivium: the mind first must be supplied with facts; then given the logical tools for organizing those facts; and finally equipped to express conclusions.
