PCS Endowment Fund
Celebrating our 20th year brings many opportunities to reflect on where we have been and where we are going! We have always been ready to continue the call God has placed upon us to train students to discern, articulate, and live truth, both the singular Truth embodied in our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the life, the truth, and the way, as well as those which are immutable truths consistent throughout time.
Excitingly, establishing our PCS Patriot Endowment is significant milestone that will commemorate this anniversary year. We acknowledge God’s faithfulness to PCS throughout the years and are expanding our financial resources beyond our annual fund giving to now include an endowment.
An endowment is a vehicle that allows us to build good stewardship, so we can continue our mission of providing a classical Christian education option to local families for many future generations. Importantly, it communicates to our school constituency and our local community that we are committed to having a long-term presence and that by God’s grace, our current operating financials are healthy. It does not serve as an emergency fund nor is it meant to cover annual expenses.
Generally, an endowment may be for restricted or unrestricted purposes. Those distinctions are outlined in our policies. Presently, our plan includes income from the PCS Patriot Endowment corpus to go towards important school-wide priorities such as scholarships and annual awards which recognize a Golden Scholar Student recipient and a 2:10 Teacher recipient. These awards recognize the selfless service of Mrs. Elaine Golden, a 15-year volunteer enrichment teacher at PCS.
