Head of School

Susan Oweis

Currently the Head of School for Providence Classical School in Williamsburg, Virginia, Susan Oweis possesses a wealth of experience in education. She has worked locally in public and private education for 33 years as a teacher, administrator, and school board member. For the past sixteen years, she has been employed as the Head of School for Providence Classical School in Williamsburg, Virginia. Prior to that she was employed as an administrator at Queens Lake Middle School in York County, Virginia. She is a Clinical Faculty member at the College of William and Mary and served on the teaching staff for Old Dominion University's Field Based Master's Degree Program. Prior to her tenure at Queens Lake, Mrs. Oweis taught for 15 years for the Williamsburg James City County Public School System. During her teaching career, Mrs. Oweis also served as a school board member for Williamsburg Christian Academy. During her service as WCA board member, she chaired their first accreditation committee.  She holds the following degrees: Educational Specialist Degree in Leadership and Administration from George Washington University, Master’s Degree in Education from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Christopher Newport University. She and her husband Jamal reside in Williamsburg. They have three adult children: Brittany, Alex and Jordan. Susan attends New Covenant Church in Hampton, Virginia.

Upper School Administrator

Tori Delaney

The current Upper School Administrator, Tori Delaney has over 25 years of experience in the field of education. She graduated with a B.S. in English and Reading Education from Baylor University and a M.A. in Gifted Education with an emphasis in Educational Supervision from the College of William and Mary. Tori's teaching career spans grades three through twelve in both Wisconsin and Virginia. In addition to teaching, she has written curriculum units, conducted teacher in-services, and presented at national conferences. Tori came to Providence in 2010 to teach third grade. Since then she has taught in the dialectic school and transitioned into an administrative role as the college counselor and events coordinator before becoming the Upper School Administrator. The classical model is how Tori always felt education should be practiced and she continues to learn how to best train students to order their loves and understand what it means to be made in the image of God. Tori resides in Williamsburg with her husband, Dan, and her children Kylie and Dillon are both graduates of Providence. 

 

Admissions & Events Director

Doreen Pacella

Presently the Admissions & Events Director of Providence Classical School, Doreen Pacella, brings a plethora of experience in education and counseling with children and families. She is a graduate of Evangel University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Special Education and Psychology. She has over 30 years of teaching experience in the public and private schools of New Jersey, Connecticut, and Virginia. Doreen has served as a pastor’s wife for over 40 years and helped establish the Coastline Christian Academy while serving in New London, Connecticut. While there, she and her husband adopted and raised five children and now have seven adorable grandchildren. In 2004, Doreen joined the teaching staff of PCS and began her classical training through the Logos School in Moscow, Idaho, one of the premier classical schools in the US, established by Doug Wilson. She continued to hone her classical skills while teaching third and fourth grades at PCS. In 2018 she was appointed to be Dean of Students.  She started her current position in 2019. Doreen is grateful that God has called her to serve the PCS community, and loves her time working with teachers, parents and students.
